Facility

Sunshine Play Care is fully equipped to assist children to experience a fun and educationally scheduled day. There is a fun filled play room, each day we do crafts to accommodate the childs ability. We have a quiet room away from the hub bub of children so that our tired wee ones can rest and have their daily naps. We are prepared to assist the parents to potty train and support the child through this momentous experience. Our day home is fully fenced in with a 4.5 ft. security gate. Within the backyard Sunshine Play Care has a playhouse, swing set and lots of toys. A brook runs along the back yard beyond the fence for the kiddies to enjoy the sounds of the brook running and watch the birds and little creatures along the edge of the brook. The children enjoy setting up eating stations for the little birds and squirrels that visit us each day. Come in and visit us also at 113 Union St. in Sydney.

Testimonials

Testimonial: KD - RN: Shift work
"As a single parent responsible for the well being of a young toddler, I thoroughly interviewed many individuals, over several months, prior to allowing anyone access to my home and, especially, my child. I required someone responsible, reliable, mature, dependable, trustworthy, flexible, fun and most of all caring; someone who would make my child's safety, comfort and needs of foremost importance.

Fortunately for me, Lynn encompasses all of these qualities and more, and has gone above and beyond to provide amazing child care, educational experiences, companionship, experienced guidance and nurturing, and fun play. Her maturity, life experiences, and relaxed nature make her a wonderful care giver. My child has thrived in her care and I could not ask for a better person to oversee my child's needs and care when I'm not there."

Testimonial: CL - Waitress: Full time
"Lyn has been not only great to Noah but also a wonderful mentor to me, gave me options, opinions and opportunity, weather it was for me to go back to school or work she offered to help me with Noah.

She has taught him manners, showed him how to be patient, gave him lots of love, he has nicknamed her "Bucko" and he loves his bucko. They have done lots of arts and crafts. She always kept him busy with baking, sewing, making me crafts. I loved getting my very first homemade" mommy I love to u" card from him…all thanks to Lyn. She has taught Noah so many great things. She has been an absolute great woman to have in my life, for me and my son. She watched him 3 times a week while I worked and I honestly never had a concern, I knew he was in good hands, she’s always positive! ..with every fiber of my being I'd recommend "bucko" as a sitter or friend to any woman or mother!"

Testimonial: RS-Vet Tech

"Lynn has been watching my daughter, since March. Looking for child care was very stressful for me. After meeting with MANY people I wasn't sure I was going to find the right fit, until I met Lynn. My daughter and I are vegetarian and not every child care provider offers alternative meals. Lynn has no problem accommodating that, which I'm very grateful for. The first week my daughter attended, Lynn sent me texts and pictures to let me know she was settling in well. That made my days easier knowing she was adjusting well. Mornings are very busy for me. When my daughter gets up, I get her dressed and out the door. Having breakfast provided is a HUGE help! In Lynn's care my daughter eats well, sleeps well, is learning to share, be caring, clean up after herself and so much more. Being a new mom, whenever I'm having problems ... I go to Lynn!! She is kind, respectful and I appreciate her advice. Having Lynn in my life has allowed me to go back to work stress free! I couldn't be happier about my decision."
